UPDATED: A power cut is affecting properties in the PO38 1 area of Ventnor this evening (Tuesday).
Electricity supply was lost at 17:37, resulting in 128 postcode areas being plunged into darkness.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) say engineers are on site and aim to have power restored by 20:00.

UPDATE @ 18:26 – Power has been restored to parts of lower Ventnor, however, 20 postcodes remain without power this evening.
UPDATE @ 21:28 – More homes are now back up and running with power. There are now only 3 affected postcode areas; PO38 1XQ (Undercliff Drive, St Lawrence), PO38 1NT (The Pitts, Bonchurch) and PO38 1NU (Bonchurch Shute).
According to SSEN power is expected to restored by approx. 22:30.
UPDATE @ 22:52 – According to SSEN, all power supplies have now been restored in the Ventnor Area.
