Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that the death of a 45-year-old man in East Cowes is not being treated as suspicious.
Police and ambulance crews were called to an address on Osborne Heights first thing on Saturday morning, as previously reported by Island Echo.
It’s at the detached property on the quiet close off Old Road that the body of a man was found hanged.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has today (Monday) said:
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
Island Echo understands the deceased, who worked in the Portsmouth area, leaves behind a wife and 3 children.
