Newport IW FC’s Under 15s squad got there Mid Solent League campaign underway with a 3-1 victory over Havant & Waterlooville on Saturday.
Newport took a 2-0 lead through Harry Cheek following a Zak Sullivan free kick before Ben Snow, who latched onto a through ball, calmly chipped the keeper.
Havant pulled a goal back with about 4 minutes left but Aiden White made the game safe in the final minute.
