Newport Road & Cowes Road, Northwood has been closed from its junction with Nodes Road to its junction with Stag Lane for a distance of 1786 metres.
The road closure at the request of Police due to a road traffic collision as previously reported by Island Echo.
The diversion will be via Nodes Road, Pallance Road, Hillis Gate Road, Rolls Hill, Little Whitehouse Road, Thorness Lane, Whitehouse Road and Forest Road.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
The closure was put in place at 12:30 hours on 13th May 2020 and will remain in place for a maximum period of five days or until the Police have deemed it safe to reopen, whichever is sooner.
