22-year-old Curtis Jenkins has been fined £116 after becoming abusive towards a bus driver when he was refused travel.
Jenkins pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place when he appeared before Magistrates on Friday.
Liz Miller, prosecuting, explained to the court that Police had been called to Cross Street in Ryde on 21st August. It’s here that Jenkins was being abusive to a Southern Vectis bus driver and passengers as he was refused travel for not having enough money.
An intoxicated Jenkins was given several warnings before being arrested and later charged.
Curtis Jenkins admitted to the court that he doesn’t remember much of the incident, but pleaded guilty to the offence.
Magistrates handed Jenkins a £116 fine and ordered him to pay £85 costs with a £34 surcharge.
