Spectators aplenty lined the streets as Newport Christmas Carnival rolled into town at the weekend (Saturday).
Thousands turned out to enjoy the festive spectacle despite the cold weather with a wide range of floats, performers and illuminated displays on show.
A spokesperson for Newport Carnival has said:
“That was probably one of our busiest Christmas Carnivals we’ve had in recent years, so a massive thank you to everyone who came and took part, not to mention those braving the cold and donating into our collection buckets.
“Thank you so much!”.
