Newchurch Male Voice Choir is set to return after the longest break in the choir’s 55-year history.
The choir is pleased to be back in rehearsal, singing together again after their COVID-19 enforced break from singing.
They are keen to attract new members, with rehearsals every Friday evening at 19:15 in the Newchurch Parish Hall.
Secretary Sheelah Stephens says:
“This is such an uplifting feeling after all we have been through. The rehearsals are full of fun and banter as we practise and perfect our repertoire and start to learn new numbers. We are all looking forward to being back performing concerts around the Island and on visits to the mainland and to sing with visiting choirs.
“The choir’s sound is a harmony of 1st Tenors, 2nd Tenors, Baritone and Bass range of voices. Any prospective members would be welcome to come and listen to a rehearsal to see and hear what we do. Choral singing is infectious, healthy, friendly and good fun.”
