Christ the King College has announced that a new headteacher will be taking the helm from January.
Andrew Montrose has nearly 20 years of senior leadership experience in 3 Faith schools in the North West of England, with a teaching background in PE and English.
Mr Montrose, who holds faith and his family close to him, will replace Kevin McDermott at the start of 2023 when the school returns from the Christmas break.
Speaking about his appointment, which was announced over the weekend, Andrew said:
“I am both excited and privileged to have been given the opportunity to lead this wonderful community. My educational vision is based on equality of access to everything we have to offer our students within and outside the curriculum, and in creating an aspirational culture across the college.
“I wish to build on the many successes Christ the King has had, and to forge strong relationships with everyone associated with the college – students, parents, staff, Governors, the two Dioceses and the Local Authority.
“I look forward to meeting as many parents as I can in 2023, and to work towards forming strong partnerships with everyone in the wider community”.
