UPDATED: A motorcyclist has been involved in a collision in Shanklin this morning (Friday).
Police have closed a section of High Street following the incident between a motorcyclist and a car shortly before 09:00 outside the town’s conservative club.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are in attendance.
Southern Vectis are advising of possible delays to their Route 2 and 3 services towards Sandown.
UPDATE @ 09:45 – The motorcyclist is being conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport by land ambulance.
Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and the road is expected to reopen shortly.
