UPDATED: Emergency services are attending a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car near Apse Heath this evening (Friday).
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to the scene at the junction of Little Princelett Shute on the main Sandown to Newport road at just before 17:55. 1 ambulance and a rapid response paramedic are in attendance.
A scooter has collided with a blue Toyota Celica.
The road remains open under Police direction.
UPDATE @ 19:15 – 1 person has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
The scene has now been cleared.
