FOUND: Staffordshire Police have this week issued an appeal for information to locate James ‘Jim’ Clarke, 61, who went missing from his home in Newcastle in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Mr Clarke was last spotted in Southampton on Saturday and Police now believe he was heading to the Isle of Wight. IslandEcho understand he has visited the Seaview area in the past.
James is described as white, around 5ft 11″ tall and of medium build with grey, short, shaved hair and a grey, short, shaved beard. He sometimes wears glasses
Mr Clarke was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black, rainproof jacket and leather tan shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 6 of November 7. The information can also be reported to Hampshire Constabulary and in an emergency, dial 999.
UPDATE @ 22:05 – Several unconfirmed sightings of Mr Clarke have been reported to the Isle of Wight’s Search and Rescue Team, WightSAR.
Anyone who spots Mr Clarke is urged to contact Police directly on 101 and in an emergency, 999.
UPDATE THURSDAY – Missing James Clarke has been located safe and well and has returned home, according to Hampshire Constabulary.
