A drugs raid on a property in Ventnor yesterday (Wednesday) resulted in nothing more than a warning being given.
Information was received to suggest drug offences were being carried at an address in Mitchell Avenue, prompting Police to storm the property in Upper Ventnor.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Force Support Unit from the mainland, as well as local officers conducted a search of the address and detained a 32-year-old male for possession of a Class B drug.
Finding no evidence of serious drug offences, the unknown man was given a formal warning.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious behaviour can contact Police on 101, dialing 999 in an emergency. Information can be given anonymously by phoning Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
