Mindless vandals have targeted a football club in East Cowes in a series of incidents – with the most recent causing damage to the club’s minibus.
East Cowes Vics took to Facebook to appeal for anyone with information regarding the damage to come forward after the rear window of the Renault minibus used by the club was smashed.
According to the club, a string of damage has been noted at their ground in Beatrice Avenue in previous weeks, with tables being overturned and seats in the stands broken, leading to the club locking all the gates including those used to access the car park – which the club had generously allowed parents of a nearby school to use during pickup and dropoffs.
Darren Dyer of East Cowes Vics said:
“I’m sorry we have had to do this but enough is enough. If you see anyone entering the grounds please let me know.
“We are all volunteers and this minibus is our only way of being able to afford playing football on the mainland.”

Wasnt long ago that sandown and shanklin rugby club had an issue like this, why are grass roots sports clubs being targeted? Disgusting behaviour from disgusting people.
