Emergency teams have responded to a critical medical incident on a residential street in Ryde this lunchtime (Monday). The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service has mobilised 2 paramedic crews, a critical care paramedic and an operational commander to the scene on Preston Close, Elmfield. A fire appliance from nearby Ryde Fire Station has also been mobilised on a medical response. It’s understood an individual has been taken seriously unwell and is to be conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital.
On Saturday, emergency services responded to a cardiac arrest at a residential property in Shanklin. Paramedics and firefighters were called to Sandown Road at around lunchtime, but sadly the man’s life could not be saved. Police were called to the sudden death of a man in his 60s. A file is being prepared for the Coroner.
