Sandown Town Mayor Gary Young has welcomed the return of the town’s library.
Library Supervisor Jenny Simon and the library team are now back at work as a result of the re-opening of Sandown Library yesterday (Tuesday 7th July).
Cllr Young said:
“The library team have worked to ensure the library was ready to open, and have put in place a range of social distancing and other safety measures, to enable lenders to return books”.
Details of new opening times and arrangements are on the Isle of Wight Council website.
Sandown Town Council hope to work with the library on projects for VJ Day @75 in August, as well as other initiatives in the future.
Gary concluded:
“It is really good to see amenities in the Town, like the Library and Steven Jenkins Playground, opening in a safe and timely way”.
