
Firefighters equipped with an aerial ladder appliance, Police and ambulance crews have been attending an incident in Ryde this morning (Wednesday), where a man was standing on a window ledge on the second floor of a building.
Emergency teams were called to The Marine on Ryde Esplanade at around 04:40 following reports of a man in a vulnerable state threatening to jump from a height.
Thankfully, specially trained Police officers have managed to talk the man out of jumping. He was brought to safety at around 05:40 and conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport.
All emergency services have since left the scene.
