Emergency services responded to Seagrove Bay near Seaview after a man suffered injuries in a fall on the rocks yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
The incident occurred at around 14:10, prompting a callout for the Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team, Bembridge RNLI and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
It had been reported that a male casualty had slipped on slippery rocks near the shoreline.
Bembridge’s D-Class Inshore Lifeboat launched to assist with the incident at 14:19 and arrived on scene by 14:38. The volunteer lifeboat crew stood by as Coastguards on shore worked alongside paramedics to stabilise the individual.
The casualty was then successfully stretchered off the beach and into the awaiting ambulance by 15:00.
Islanders and holidaymakers alike are being urged to take care around the coastline, particularly when walking on rocks or areas covered in slippery algae.
