A 33-year-old Ryde man has been arrested following an altercation at a bus stop in Newport earlier this morning (Friday).
Police were called at around 08:40 to reports of a disturbance between a male and a female at the Reeve Court bus stop on Staplers Road.
Eyewitnesses have told Island Echo that the male initially left the scene after being refused entry onto the bus but returned a short while later running in and out of the road before he was detained.
Officers arrested the 33-year-old on suspicion of assault.
