EXCLUSIVE: MAJOR REFURB AT RYDE SUPERBOWL COMPLETE FOLLOWING NEAR £1MILLION INVESTMENT

Ryde Superbowl has undergone a complete internal refurb and is ready to welcome locals and tourists in 2024 and beyond. The works – which total almost £1million – have been carried out over the past 3 months and have seen a complete overhaul of the prominent Esplanade premises in practically every area. All 16 bowling lanes have been ripped out and replaced with a strings system from German-based Funk Bowling. A new and updated scoring system has also been introduced boasting brand-new screens and animations. It is believed that the old system had been in place since at least 1992 when the venue was opened by former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. New comfy seating has been installed on each lane and the venue recarpeted throughout. Elsewhere, the laser quest arena (which should re-open on Friday) has been re-sprayed with fluorescent paint now adorning the walls and a new sound system to boot. A safety room has also been created. An enclosed room for childrens’ parties has also been introduced. The main difference hits you as soon as you walk through the door, with the old front desk removed to make way for more arcade amusements.

The bar area has also been completely renovated with new chefs and new menus in place ahead of the busy season. Sky Sports is now also on offer in the bar for all your live sporting needs, with 2 American Pool tables in place too. It is hoped that in the near future the upstairs – formally Balcony Nightclub – can be renovated to become better-suited to hosting events throughout the year. The investment comes as the owner – who runs similar sites elsewhere in the country – looks to ensure the future of the business is a prosperous one. Ryde Superbowl is open from 10:00-22:00 on Monday to Thursday, 10:00-23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays and 10:00-21:00 on Sundays.
