A parked car has been badly damaged after being smashed into by a lorry on Sandown’s Broadway this morning (Wednesday).
The incident, which occurred at around 10:30, has seen a heavy goods vehicle belonging to Stark – and delivering to nearby Jewson – collide with a parked white Seat Leon.
The vehicle has been shunted down the road around 15m, scraping along a garden wall and coming to rest side-on – half on the pavement.
The blue lorry has continued to Jewson on Avenue Road as to not cause a bigger obstruction than needed.
The vehicle has sustained front near side damage.
The road remains open and recovery of the damaged Seat is underway.
Police are looking into whether any offences may have been committed.

Looks like for once the car was parked legally unlike many
vehicles that park on Double Yellow Lines or Pavements
causing an obstruction.
