A lorry belonging to Island firm Reynolds and Read has left the carriageway and come to rest in a field in Wroxall this afternoon (Wednesday).
The tipper, which is carrying a load, has ploughed through a hedge on the main Whitely Bank to Wroxall road.
No one has been injured in the incident, which is thought to have been caused by the lorry having to take evasive action.
Debris has been cleared from the carriageway and the firm are now using a digger to attempt to recover the vehicle from the field.
