LOCAL BUSINESSES JOIN FORCES TO GIVE TIGER ENCLOSURE A SUMMER SPRUCE UP

Published at:

3 local businesses joined forces this week to undertake a job like no other – emptying and cleaning a pool within the tiger enclosure at the Isle of Wight Zoo.

Dominic Gentleman from Newgents, Paul Kenan from The Rodfather and Martin Debenham from Watermarc gave up their time, free of charge, to assist the Zoo with the challenging task.

Together the local firms managed to empty and clean the pool in just 4 hours – a job that would normally take Zoo staff over 2 weeks.

It’s safe to say that the tigers were kept well away whilst the cleaning took place but the trio of cleaners were able to get up close with the animals afterwards.

Disgusting keeping caged animals for bored people to pay to just gawp at and wind up for ten minutes.

Take them back where they belong.

So they can get hunted to extinction and killed for the body parts ?

Naomi Lordan

They are rescue tigers which probably wouldn’t survive in the wild

I understand what you’re saying, but I’d rather be dead than locked in a cage for the rest of my life.

These tigers were rescued from awful situations and are very well looked after now. The rest of their lives will be much happier and enriched than they would have been without the help of the Wildheart Trust. I totally agree that we should be protecting habitat from destruction and working to eliminate poaching etc but there’s a long way to go and in the meantime these lovely creatures are better off where they are I’m afraid.

Obviously you don’t know what you are talking about! You should engage your “brain” before you make a comment…… Unless you are a troll.
