The Isle of Wight’s ever-popular Christmas lights map and competition, Light up the Wight, is back for 2025!
Families from across the Island will jump in their cars – or on the Southern Vectis tour bus – this December to explore the amazing Christmas lights displays across the Isle of Wight, before voting for their favourite online.
20 twinkling displays are included on this year’s official map, which can now be downloaded as a PDF at www.islandecho.co.uk/xmas. An interactive Google Map is also available.
Last year’s winner, Ash Lane in Gunville, has gone bigger and better for 2025 and will be hoping for another podium place, alongside runners up Goldcrest Close (Carisbrooke) and Victoria Road (Sandown).
Southern Vectis has once again teamed up with Island Echo to sponsor the festive competition with a £700 prize pot for the Island’s best displays, as voted for by you. You can vote for your favourite display by visiting https://www.islandecho.co.uk/xmas/vote/.

Voting closes on 31st December 2025 and the winners will be announced in early January.
