Your official guide to the very best Christmas lights displays
on the Isle of Wight!

Light up the Wight is back for 2024

Island Echo has once again teamed up with Southern Vectis to bring you Light up the Wight – a guide to the very best Christmas Lights and a competition for households shining bright for the local community.

Once again we are offering £400 for 1st place, £200 for 2nd place and £100 for 3rd place.

Last year almost 1,500 votes were cast throughout December after Islanders ventured out in their cars – and on the sold-out Southern Vectis tour bus – to see the wonderful array of Christmas lights displays across the Island.

Goldcrest Close in Carisbrooke took the 2023 crown, with Wellesley Way in Newport (2nd) and Bannock Road, Whitwell (3rd) rounding off the podium.

Tour guide, map and voting now open.

Voting closes 31st December 2024.
