LIFEBOAT-SHAPED PLANTER UNVEILED AT TRAIN STATION THANKS TO SCHOOL’S EFFORTS

A planter, created to look like Sandown & Shanklin Independent Lifeboat, has been unveiled at Lake Train Station.

The project has involved staff and students from nearby Broadlea Primary School as part of the Lake Community Kids Project, with sponsorship from Island Line and the Association of Community Rail Partnerships.

A spokesperson for Broadlea Primary has said:

“We were delighted to be given some funding to do a new project at Lake train station which involves our local community. Picking Sandown and Shanklin independent lifeboat was an easy choice as they are always willing to give us sea survival talks and let us visit their station.

“We had big plans before the lockdown for their Go Orange day and it seemed a shame to not go ahead with those plans. Therefore to put a smile on everyone’s face we have put the lifeboat planter at the station as planned for everyone to see while out on their daily exercise.

“We are forever grateful to the crew at SSILB and we’re thankful to have them still keeping the bay safe through these uncertain times”.

Not much hope for it to last more than a few hours with the feral youth in Lake.

Still we have a decent Photo of what it did look like for future generations to enjoy.

Lake is undoubtedly a deprived area now.

Lake will hardly improve during the coming recession adding to more poor people’s children behaving in destructive behaviour as fewer have parents who care more about them than the cash from tax credits, and the house that ‘having’ them provides.

Knowing they are unloved and unwanted causes anger issues to take out on ‘settled’ society. So anything nice becomes fair game to their twisted bitter minds, to hurt those who are settled and making life nice from inward jealousy.

Forced into conscription is the only answer for such, but unlikely to ever happen in the weak land we have now become.

Thank you for providing such a lovely display it’s clear everyone has worked really hard .
All you moaning Minnie’s out there enjoy your miserable day . Not all children or teenagers are feral , most people on this Island are decent but there are a few misguided folk who just like to complain about everything and everyone . Why don’t you get up and help the less privileged instead of just criticising them , sometimes life is hard , sometimes you are born with a silver spoon in the mouth . Just by your mean remarks the hard work done by the children has been belittled you are contributing to the beginning of constant criticism thus starting these children on the road to believing they are worthless . No one is born bad it’s societies job to encourage .
The display is meant to enjoy and also a tribute to our Island Lifeboat , a volunteer organisation on whom you may find you may need one day !
Thank you again Lake children ❤️
