Lidl GB has issued a recall of its Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews due to concerns the product may contain glass fragments, making it unsafe for consumption.
The recall affects stores across England, Scotland and Wales, including those here on the Isle of Wight.
The affected product is a 125g pack of Simply Roasted and Salted Cashews with a best before date of 28th June 2026.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned consumers not to eat the product because of the potential presence of glass, which poses a risk of injury or harm if consumed.
Lidl GB has confirmed it is recalling the affected batch from sale and has issued point of sale notices in all stores to inform customers of the issue. These notices explain the reason for the recall and provide instructions on what to do if the product has been purchased.
Customers who have bought the cashews are advised not to eat them and instead return the product to any Lidl store for a full refund. No receipt is required.
