Laylas’s Trust has been chosen as Sainsbury’s new Local Charity partner West Cowes for 2012/2013. The announcement comes after the store asked customers which local charity they should provide a year’s support to. Customers were able to vote for their favourite local charity between 9th and 23rd May.
The partnership officially launched on June 30th and customers can now choose to make a donation in-store to Layla’s Trust. The charity was founded in Emma Perry and helps families with terminal ill children or have suffered the loss of a child over the next 12 months, the charity will benefit from Sainsbury’s Local Charity partner scheme, now in its fourth year.
During the next 12 months, colleagues will be providing fundraising support for Layla’s Trust and raising awareness of the charity with the local community. Sainsbury’s West Cowes Store Charlie Bird said: Layla’s Trust is such a worthy local cause and we’re pleased and proud to be supporting it over the next 12 months. We’ll be letting our customers know of our fundraising plans in-store and we hope they can join our colleagues in helping support them”.
