A 24-year-old Shanklin woman has been arrested on suspicion of numerous drugs offences after Police raided a residential home on a quiet lane in Rookley on Thursday afternoon.
Officers clad in protective equipment arrived at Harts Lane at just before 16:00 as they made moves to execute a drugs warrant. It was part of a pre-planned raid connected to an investigation into the supply of drugs on the Isle of Wight.
At their target address, Police found a large quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs, alongside cash and drug paraphernalia.
Over the weekend, as part of ongoing enquiries, a 24-year-old woman from Shanklin was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis and possession of criminal property.
She has been bailed with conditions until 13th December while the investigation continues.
Last week’s incident came just days after rural properties in Porchfield and Bowcombe were raided.
God work on the part of the police. Our yong people’s lives in particular are being blighted by drug dealers. Everyone talks of the criminal gangs bringing migrants across the channel in small boats but these drug dealers are no less guilty of taking the lives of so many, especially young, people.
