Police cordoned off a lane in the usually quiet village of Seaview earlier this evening (Tuesday) when a man was found collapsed in the street.
It was just before 17:25 that the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service received a 999 call about a life-threatening situation on Rope Walk, prompting an emergency response by paramedics – including a critical care paramedic.
1 fire appliance from Ryde was also mobilised on a medical response, to assist in providing potentially life-saving immediate medical care at the earliest opportunity.
Due to the nature of the incident, with the casualty discovered in a public place, Police also responded at speed and established a cordon at either end of the access road to the rear of Seaview Hotel.
Officers conducted initial investigations to establish the circumstances of the incident, which was brought to a close by 18:30 with all services stood down.

It’s great the ff have a certain ability ,knowledge of life saving capabilities as Ryde fire station would of been quicker at this location than ambulance or critical care officer if coming from Newport
I hope the person makes a recovery from this
