The Kynges Well pub in Brading will close its doors for the last time on Sunday, it has been announced.
Proprietors Matthew and Tom Axford have taken to social media to share the sad news with customers.
The pub first opened in June 2015 having sat empty for over a year. However, it has been confirmed that the establishment will cease trading on Sunday 9th February.
In a statement issued this morning, it has been said:
“I would like to thank all of our customers that have supported us these past 5 years, we have enjoyed every minute and I have met some lovely people and made great friends.
“Would like to thank all my staff past and present for all their hard work. Been a pleasure to have you work with us.
“Most of all I would like to thank my family for all their support in sticking by us whilst we try to make this work. All those missed birthdays, Christmas and outings that have been missed.
“Who knows what the future will hold but will hopefully see you all soon”.

So sad had some lovely meals here. Hope the lads start up again soon somewhere! Tim needs somewhere for his quiz!!
What a pity. I enjoyed being in this pub. Good luck for the future
Shame some lovely dinners with family in this lovely Pub. Brading is becoming a Ghost Town with all the local businesses closing. Sad times Hopefully new owners will be found, so much history in this Pub.
Always sad when this happens.
I am always sad when a pub closes – at this rate I will have to start buying from the supermarket…
Sad another pub closure.very good business with no help from brewery or reliefs from government either.
What a shame – we’ve had lots of lovely meals here, one of our favourite places to eat out
