The King’s Head pub in Yarmouth has announced that they will be temporarily closing their doors ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’.
As previously reported by Island Echo, the pub was taken over by Peter Greenhalgh and Jake Rigby in July. They also run The Sun Inn at Calbourne.
Addressing loyal patrons on social media, the pub said:
“Regrettably, due to unforeseen circumstances, we find ourselves temporarily closing our doors for the time being. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your fantastic support throughout this amazing summer season.
“Though we may be taking a brief hiatus, please keep a close eye on our page for updates and announcements. We’re committed to keeping you in the loop, and we can’t wait to share news about our return.
“Thank you for being a part of The Kings Head family. Stay tuned for more updates, and we hope to see you again soon for even more unforgettable moments!”

Never mind guys, you will always have a loyal following at The Sun Inn, Calbourne, even from those from Central Newport. The Sun Inn is a winner The Kings Head will always have competition from overpriced Yarmouth. Please ignore the negative comments from Island Lowlife !

To be honest the pub is not a place you would cross the Island for.
what the hell is wrong with people , some of the comments are uncalled for , have you no morals morons.
Literally one of the worst pubs (am a local), have seen multiple incidents happen there including a young girl getting sexually assaulted, they always have different staff cause they keep quitting because of the lack of good management most of the staff are overworked because there’s not enough people to split the shifts up and everyone is on Coke ffs quite frankly glad to see it closed someone please just buy the place and turn it into something useful.
