Some very unlikely partnerships were formed for a fun 9-hole greensome stableford competition at Shanklin Sandown Golf Club on Friday (17th December).
Ladies come together in a bid to win the McClelland Trophies, which were donated in 2018 by Margaret McClelland, Shanklin and Sandown’s longest-serving playing member. The trophies are played for twice a year, with the last competition held in June of this year.
The event, organised by fellow long-standing member, Chris Gould, saw Brenda Keyte and Bev Lowrie taking the honours with 24 points, with Sarah Dana and Linda Piche taking 2nd place on 23.
There were 2 ‘nearest the pin’ prizes awarded, with Fran Cole and Bev Lowry scoring successes.
