JR Zone, the Island’s leading soft play centre in Newport, is now under new ownership by two Isle of Wight mums.
It’s exciting times ahead at JR Zone after was announced that 2 Island mums have taken ownership of the children’s indoor play centre.
Kate Holbrook & Sandra Knowles know only too well what it takes to make a children’s play zone a place that they and their children want to be.
With 5 young children between the pair – 2 girls and 3 boys – they have countless hours of first-hand experience in various entertainment centres.
Kate is planning to bring her experience of the world-class centres she visited when bringing up her girls in Dubai.
She goes on to say:
“Whilst it’s clearly essential to deliver a first-class experience for the children, equally important is to deliver that first-class experience to the parents.
“It will be my focus to make JR Zone a place parents are as keen to visit as their children.”
Sandra is extremely excited to bring her experience of successfully growing and running an Island company into a new and very different business sector.
She adds:
“I have so many ideas of how to enhance the JR Zone experience for everyone, I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Whilst things will continue to operate as normal in the immediate future, customers can look forward to a year of progressive change and improvements, making JR Zone THE place for fun for children of all ages, parents and corporate groups alike.

As a previous employee this place was the worst place I had ever worked due to management and lack of training for staff.
I would say go for it to them as the place needs a brighter fresher and much needed new start JR has a lot of potential with the right management! Good luck ladies will be bringing my children along for a friendlier afternoon! 🙂
Good on you both hope all goes well
