14 past and present Island personalities are featured on 2 new DVDs released by John Hannam this year, entitled ‘John Hannam – The Television Years’.
The well-respected Isle of Wight broadcaster and journalist has teamed up with local videographer, Maurice Gilliam, to produce the 2 volumes.
During his long broadcasting career, John made over 100 local television chat shows for both TV12 and Solent TV. The guests on the first 2 limited edition releases are Oscar Stretch, John Hayward, Alby Payne, Sylvia Jones, Morris Barton, Stuart Peters and Hilary Hall. Volume 2 features Keith Newbery, Bernie Cullen, Derek Hunt, Fred Price, Henry Adams, Colin Smith and Wally Edwards.
The sleeve foreword has been written by local broadcaster Paul Topping, who was involved with both TV12 and Solent TV.
The DVDs are priced at £9.99 each. Stockists include Farnsworth’s (Newport), Godshill Old Smithy, Dalverton Garden Centre (Lake) and Glyn Morgan’s (Shanklin).
