Jamie Hindson has continued his pledge of monthly giving with a £100 donation in August to Men Only IW in Ryde.
The 34-year-old met with Jaime and Karl Hart at the charity’s High Street centre, where he was introduced to volunteers, members and Monty, the centre’s much-loved dog.
He explained:
“I got to learn all about what the centre is about and how it formed. It started back in 2020 when Covid hit, and Karl Hart set up a Zoom call for men struggling with mental health. It has since grown into an important service where men aged 18+ can form friendships, get support with meal preparation and life skills, and enjoy social gatherings and a sense of belonging.”
The Ryde-based charity has also recently expanded to provide a Women Only group alongside its men’s support sessions.
Jamie added:
“It’s always an honour to meet local charities and find out the stories of how they develop. I hope I can make a difference, not only by donation but also by bringing awareness of the many worthy charities and centres we have on the Island. Men Only IW offer so much in the way of mental health, and I would like to wish them every success.”
Jamie has committed to making monthly donations throughout 2025 to support charities, organisations, respite care and community services across the Isle of Wight. September’s chosen cause will be announced in the coming weeks.

Empty gesture from a man who doesn’t care about the mental health of others. It’s all about his image.
