The Isle of Wight Super 9 disability team has topped the regional South East section of the National Disabled Cricket League.
Our Island representatives played against Essex, Middlesex, Hampshire and Kent, winning 3, losing 1 with 1 game abandoned, topping the group by a single point ahead of Essex.
The Super 9s now face Essex in the top-of-the-table playoff game against Essex at Northwood Cricket Club on Sunday (20th August).
The Isle of Wight Cricket Board is encouraging as many spectators as possible to turn up at Northwood Cricket Club to cheer the Super 9 side on.
The Board have written:
“Massive congratulations to our IOW Super 9s Disability Team, who have finished top of their region, setting up a top-of-the-table play-off game with Essex, this Sunday, 20th August, at Northwood CC.
“The game starts at 13:00, and it would be great to see as many as possible of the wider Isle of Wight cricket family turn up to support the team in what we are sure will be a great game.
“So, please bring a chair and enjoy the excellent facilities provided by Northwood CC and cheer on our Super 9s.”
