ISLE OF WIGHT DOWN ALMOST 90 CARE WORKERS SINCE MANDATORY VACCINATION RULES CAME INTO FORCE

Figures from NHS England show that there are 87 fewer care workers on the Isle of Wight than they were prior to the Government’s mandatory vaccination rules being implemented.

It was decided last year that anyone working in care homes would require at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine prior to 11th November in order to keep their job.

New official figures show that 2,393 people were working in adult care homes in July 2021, but that figure dropped to 2,306 at the start of 2022.

However, it’s hard to say if all 87 workers left due to the mandatory vaccination requirement.

94% of those working in adult care homes on the Isle of Wight are double jabbed, with the other 6% either on leave or sickness – or new starters to the industry yet to receive both jabs.

For 2 years we have been asked to do what we can to keep the NHS from being overrun due to Covid and their staff and care workers refuse to be jabbed. I think they should be ashamed of themselves no excuse unless they are medically exempt

Good riddance. I would hate to hear that my family member is in a home that allowed “basically anti-vaxxers” to potentially give them a death sentence!

I would sue the he’ll out of that home if they knowingly employed non vaccinated staff. When the ENTIRE planet is telling you that it is literally life or death for some people if you choose not to have a life saving vaxine for free aswell, then you really must be as thick as Forest Gump!

All “anti-vaxxers” should be made to sign a legal disclaimer document stating that they are refusing any and all NHS medical treatment if proven positive for Covid-19. Let’s watch them drop off then!

alex – you do realise that people who are have been injected, once, twice, three of fifteen times can still pass on the virus and can still be ill with it.

it is already stated that boosters become ineffective after about 10 weeks – so by the summer, everyone will technically be classed as unvaccinated.

if there are no staff, who will care for those that need it – are you going to step up to the plate – bet not.

as for signing disclaimers – perhaps a smoker, those overweight, drug addicts and alcoholics also be refused NHS treatment. If you expect people to be denied treatment, perhaps they can have their taxes refunded also.

wake up alex

So Alex iow you don’t mind that other residence and visitors don’t have to be vaccinated just the care staff you have a problem with .They can catch it from them as well you know.

medication should only ever be taken if you actually need it. Being injected with something, because someone else might catch something, when you are not at risk yourself, is utterly insane.

That is a perfect comment isle of wighter. You know i have to fight nail and tooth to get the medication i need that the doctors prescribed to me. They make me feel like I’m doing something wrong but then we are told to go and put crap in our body that’s only been out for a year with no real tests.
I have had the three jabs but i wont have any more ever.

If I was to be ‘cared for’ by a ‘carer’ I would require proof that the ‘carer’ has been vaccinated before the ‘carer’ commenced caring for me. Or I would take it that they are attempting to abuse me. Works both ways ole mate.

What is the matter with you anti-vaxers.
Just have the jab, end of.
It is not a big deal, so stop trying to make yourselves important when you are not ! (Alw, you little rebels).
So what if you die from having a needle in your arm or you can’t have children.
The professional professors know more then all of us.
What do we know? Nothing.
Ps. It is about time that nature and mother earth wiped the vermin ( humans) from the face of the planet.
And also whilst I am having a rant, old people keep getting older, could their elderly children please start looking after them. Selfish people, myself personally can’t wait to die, but it is not fair on my four beautiful children.
I certainly don’t want to live to 110 for f’sakes. Happy new year. (Not) X.

Sad as it is I am glad, at least we know the 90 will not infect any loved ones in their care. Also please Australia made a point regarding a certain tennis player, if they hadn’t the repercussions would have been horrendous.

australia has descended into political point scoring regarding tennis players.

june – you do realise that having the jab does not prevent you getting covid and infecting others don’t you. The whole requirement to have a jab is short sighted, in that its effectiveness wears off after a few months and doesn’t prevent you giving the virus to someone else. – then what – sack more people.

you also need to think longer term – who is going to replace the carers when the younger people who aren’t having the jabs or boosters choose other career paths, as caring is closed to them, because they won’t take a jab that they do not need.
