It will be interesting to hear the views of and listen to, the 25 Green Party candidates on any hustings that take place (if any do), to hear how many of them support their “leader” David Theodor Herzl Paulden – AKA “Zach Polanski” and his anti-semitic, vile racist views, his plans to legalise Heroin, Crack Cocaine and Prostitution, his plans to ban zoos and horse racing and his claims to be able to enhance women’s breast sizes, plus all the other bonehead, crackpot ideas to emanate from his deluded excuse for a brain.
What would be even more interesting is to hear if the two Green candidates with even a slim chance of being elected – Lothian and Critchison – concur with their Leaders views.
Hopefully the island electorate will treat the Green Party candidates with the contempt that they so richly deserve and vote for any other candidate with less repugnant opinions.

Yet advertorials are published which give a favourable view of the company/person advertising. Why?

Before you all race out to vote for one of the 39 shills with Reform badge on, try asking them what democracy they have within their party structure, and what their electorate can expect in terms of transparency. They will either lie, or say they haven’t a clue (which is at least an honest answer) but probably none will tell you that THERE ISN’T ANY within Reform. It’s a COMPANY, two in fact, with company rules that the normal rules of the Electoral Commission can’t touch. Rules and policy is written behind closed doors, they don’t even have to keep broadly to a manifesto. Members get no say whatsoever. Donations can be kept secret; a lot of it was funded by crypto…it can be further funded by whatever world despot wants leverage if it ever gets to power.
When you squeak about things like ‘democracy’ remember this;
Reform is about power WITHOUT accountability and doesn’t think twice about using dark money to protect it’s investments. And once in, it can’t be touched. Think about that.

Your first paragraph accurately describes all three of the main political parties, as for your point concerning power without accoutability, when the existing government makes major financial decisions that only benefit their core voters and a minority of theworkshy then surely that is power without accountability.
No, the financial decisions are independently scrutinised by the OBR and reported on. It makes them accountable. A private company’s decisions are not. That’s accountability, or lack of, right there.
Your last part makes no logical sense; a minority of non-workers not contributing to a pot necessary to preserve a status quo for a majority would not be in any party’s interest to pander to surely?
Don’t forget that the existing government inherited a fiscal nightmare born from systematic under-investment in a country’s primary resource; its people. That in turn has led to a situation whereby the vast majority of low-rung, minimum wage jobs do not pay enough to keep a family (or even a single person in some areas) afloat. That in turn means lower government income, ie, tax contributions.
I don’t like this particular incarnation of Labour government either, but any member-led political party is preferable to a non-member led un-democratic, unaccountable company which holds voter data AND can sell that to the highest bidder worldwide. Legally.
