A total of 16 Isle of Wight teams from 8 clubs will be playing competitive cricket across 6 leagues starting this Saturday (7th May).
The Isle of Wight’s senior club Ventnor return to the Southern Premier League and begin their campaign away to New Milton. The South Wight club have strengthened their side by recruiting Sri Lankan all-rounder Dimeth Thimodya.
In Hampshire Division 1, newly promoted Ryde have a home fixture against Fareham. Ryde have been bolstered by ECB Coach of the Year Andy Woodward joining their club.
In Hampshire Division 3, relegated Shanklin & Godshill – hoping for a swift return to Division 2 – will begin their campaign against Fareham 2nds.
Ventnor 3rds face Ryde 3rds in the Division 4 derby at Steephill. This is the 1st time the 2 sides have met in a competitive Hampshire League fixture.
