The Pill, an Isle of Wight-founded band known for their high-energy performances and DIY spirit, have announced they are disbanding following the departure of vocalist Lily.
The duo confirmed that they will no longer be performing or releasing music as The Pill. All upcoming headline shows have been cancelled, with ticket refunds available at point of sale.
The decision follows a challenging year of touring, which the band say took a significant toll on their mental and physical health. In a public statement, they stressed the importance of recognising burnout and prioritising wellbeing.
Lily has returned to the Isle of Wight to focus on her jewellery brand, Lil Bette. Bandmate Lottie plans to continue pursuing music through new creative projects.
While no further live shows will go ahead, the band teased one final “special treat” for fans as a farewell gesture.
