The Isle of Wight is looking like a more desirable destination for staycations in 2024, according to Sykes Holiday Cottages. A new poll of 2,000 UK travellers by the holiday letting agency found Cornwall to be the top staycation destination on people’s wish lists to visit next year, with the Isle of Wight coming in at 5th. However, that is a significant improvement as in 2023 the Isle of Wight only just scraped into the top 10, indicating that the Island is a more attractive offering for those seeking a UK break in 2024. New additions to the top 10 staycation hotspots include the scenic Scottish Borders and the southern coastal county of Dorset, both renowned for their dramatic landscapes and beautiful walks, and ranking 6th and 10th respectively.
