A youngster from the Isle of Wight has created a winning design that will be included on cards given to new homeowners at St George’s Gate.
The festive competition was organised by Barratt Homes for younger residents at its developments here on the Island, and in Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex in October.
13-year-old Chloe’s design has been selected, along with 5 other winners, for its creativity and festive feel. The talented youngster will receive £50 in Smyths Toys vouchers.
The leading housebuilder wanted to ensure it had a special Yuletide card to give to homeowners moving in at its developments this festive season, and Chloe’s design will be given as greetings cards to new residents at the Barratt Homes development in Newport.
Tammy Bishop, Barratt Homes Sales Director, Southampton Division said:
“We knew the children at our developments would be the ones to ask for a truly Christmassy creation this year, and we weren’t wrong!
“We were absolutely overwhelmed with the standard of entries and congratulations go to all of our winners. I can’t wait to see their winning designs included in our new residents’ move-in packs this December.”
“Christmas wasn’t quite the same for youngsters last year because of the pandemic. This year, we wanted to ensure local children could get into the festive spirit early, and we hope that can continue right up until the big day.”

More like bribe the youngsters with a £50 gift and hopefully they won’t boycott your hutches in the future when theres no more fields for them to play in.
