Ryde continue to dominate Division One, Newport Vics lead Division Two, while Wroxall and Cowes are setting the pace in Division Three as the league pauses for Christmas.

Ryde maintained their grip at the top of Division One as the leading sides continued to pull clear before the festive break.
Ryde A remained 2nd behind Ryde C after a solid win over Ryde Revellers, while Havenstreet A moved up the table following an emphatic victory against Ryde Goshawks, who endured a difficult week with 2 defeats.
Ryde C’s Ryan Cates heads the averages table going into Christmas, with Scott Lawson of Ryde A in 2nd place.

Newport Vics retained top spot in Division Two as pressure increased from the chasing pack below them.
Ryde Rising Stars closed in on 2nd place with an impressive win over Havenstreet B, with cadet players Thane Taylor and Theo Lewis both unbeaten and continuing to benefit from regular junior coaching sessions.
Ryde Resisters suffered another narrow defeat in a closely fought match against Ryde Rogues, despite a strong showing, while Newport Vics’ Barry Joyce continues to lead the averages table.

PROMOTION RACE INTENSIFIES AS DIVISION THREE HEATS UP

The battle for promotion remained finely balanced in Division Three with eye-catching wins across the table.
Cowes Baptists held onto 2nd place with a convincing victory over Shorwell Saviours, while Wroxall Vics C finally found their expected form with a dominant whitewash win to close the gap at the top.
Ryde Odd Balls also impressed against the experienced Wroxall Lizards, with 14-year-old Toby Payne earning player of the match honours. Wroxall’s Andrew Bailey continues to lead the averages table, with Cowes’ Mark Compton also unbeaten but having played fewer matches.
