ISLAND SAILOR SET TO BECOME VOICE OF SAILING

AN Island sailor is set to become the voice of sailing during the Olympic Games this year, to be aired on the BBC.

Two times gold medalist Shirley Robertson, of Cowes, will be commentating on all the sailing action for the BBC’s 2012 reporting team live from the Olympic sailing venue in Weymouth, Dorset.

Coverage of the games will be broadcast on BBC 1 and BBC3, as well as the red button facility and from the BBC website.
