AN Island couple are cycling an incredible 2550 miles around Britain in aid of charity.

Mo Latham, 67 and David Eldridge, 56 are on their way to tandem cycle the length of the UK, a mega 2,550 miles. Ms Latham was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes over 40 years ago and is raising money for Diabetes UK.

The Island couple started at their home in Sandown on Wednesday and are cycling west down to Lands End, where they will begin their the gruelling challenge to John O’Groats and back home again.

Cycling eight hours a day, it is thought the challenge could take up to six weeks.
