An 18-year-old man from Newport remains under investigation on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving following a crash near Whitwell back in February of this year. As first reported by Island Echo, emergency services were called to Whitwell Road, near the junction with Week Lane, at 16:42 on the afternoon of 25th February. A silver Mini One and a silver Volkswagen Golf had collided, with the 2 male occupants of the Mini fleeing the scene. The smash left a 9-year-old boy with serious injuries and he was later flown to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. In April, Island Echo revealed that 2 teenagers had been arrested in connection with the road traffic collision.
Now, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary says that a 18-year-old man from Sandown, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, has been released from the investigation with no further action to be taken against him. However, an 18-year-old man from Newport – who was also arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, as well as using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance – has been released from conditional police bail, but remains under investigation. Enquiries into this incident are ongoing.

You expect a far-right fascist labour government to fix issues like this?
What are you even talking about??????
Its literal Nazism, a lot of parallels can be made to the rise of the Nazi party in 1933, a lot forget that the Nazi party were socialist. Such a shame that we forgot what happened 90 years ago. Reform was the only safe answer.
Let’s see, now.
Number 1 in the fascist playbook is demonising minorities as the cause of the ills of the majority.
It isn’t Labour doing that.
It’s Reform.
You deluded fool Farage was the one with the comic book moustache in bathroom ready to.put on and shiny jack boots to wear down the pub as he does his “just one of the people act”..bearing in mind his parents are indeed Belgium and he has a bank account in Switzerland! definitely one of the people!.
You must be brainwashed, Reform would turn our nation into Nazi’s and we would no longer be Great Britain,we would become poorist country in West ,Reform would of been worst political party in history. I don’t want to be part of EDL thanks.
The same idiots who voted for Brexit
are the same idiots who voted Reform!
You cannot educate Numpty’s
Idiot nipper had everything handed to him on a plate, job good life wasted everything
Hmm makes you wonder… all the lies they told about Jeremy corbin.. just to be rid of him…
Waffle king
Im waffly versatile
A menace, this one.. a bad man..
He’s a idiot still has a load of untaxed and motd cars at island harbour dumped up there police do nothing about it
Well at some point owen you knew you would get caught
Yes good but let’s hope the poor Child is ok no thanks to this selfish idiot, what was it drugs or enphlated sense of entitlement.
Until this island follows what Wales and London have done by
Introducing strict 20mph speed limits, accidents will keep
happening on this Lawless Island
Now we have a Labour Government in Power I expect them to
roll out more 20mph locations
(The sooner the better)
We need speed Camera’s everywhere!
Drivers don’t stick to it in Wales anyway!
If they don’t they get a fine in the post and points on
their licence.
This Lawless Island needs strict rules, there is no reason
why Camera’s cannot be rolled out now Gigabit is nearly
completed.
He’s a idiot been driving on the road from a young age he steals his dad’s car drives like a idiot buys and sells anything he can. He hides aload of cars at island harbour behind the breeze
I would love to crush these cars with him in it, can’t help but think of a poor child injured with his life ahead of him, ruined because of this uncontrollable monster
If police can’t prove to CPS then CPS needs to be held responsible when maybe next time someone is killed !. Police try so hard yet CPS and solicitors always get people off. I’m sure police have forensic putting him behind wheel, CCTV of him around Harbour and probably witnessed by occupants of other car. Was he advertising for sale this mini on Facebook?….
CPS gives me the ick on this island.
