An investigation has been launched into a fire in Wroxall last night (Sunday).
Firefighters from Ventnor Fire Station were called to Rew Lane just after 20:00 to reports of a small fire in the road.
After successfully extinguishing the blaze, it was discovered a safe had been set alight, sparking fire crews to alert Police.
The retained firefighters remained on the scene for around an hour.
Further information is expected later on today.
