Police have launched an investigation after a safe was stolen from The Works in Newport overnight.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary was called at 08:04 this morning (Thursday) to a report of a burglary on St James’ Square.
Staff turned up for work to find a glass pane on the front door had been smashed using a thermoplastic fencing foot.
It’s understood that The Works was broken into between 02:00 and 02:30 during the early hours of this morning.
2 forensic investigators have been present at St James’ Square today alongside officers from the High Harms Team as Police launch their probe into the burglary. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101, quoting 44240046129.
