INJURED 18-YEAR-OLD ARMED WITH STANLEY KNIFE ARRESTED IN NEWPORT

A man armed with a Stanley knife was arrested following a domestic incident in Newport yesterday afternoon (Monday) and has subsequently been charged. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary was called to a domestic-related disturbance outside an address on Angelica Grove, on Bluebell Meadows, at 14:36. Officers attended and found a man bleeding in the street. He was tended to by first aiders before being arrested. Following enquiries, 18-year-old Jayden Dewhurst, of Hunnyhill in Newport, has been charged with possession of a bladed article in a public place. He has been bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 2nd April.
