With the sun shining and Spring well underway, Islanders and visitors alike are being treated to the return of an ice cream van at Blackgang Viewpoint Car Park.
From today (Friday 6th March), Wight Ices will be serving up delicious whipped ice cream and a variety of lollies – as well as tea and coffee – overlooking the ‘back of the wight’.
The car park situated above Blackgang Chine off of the main Niton to Chale road has always been a popular stop-off for locals and tourists but has been lacking the presence of an ice cream van recently.
Refreshments will be served depending on the weather.
If this season proves to be a success then Wight Ices will become a permanent fixture at Blackgang.

Tourist numbers will be dire this year due to CV, should the Isle have any cases. We should be testing all who come here otherwise this year will be a wash out.
